Football

Football, also known as soccer in some regions, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a spherical ball into the opposing team’s goal, primarily using any part of the body except for the arms and hands. The game is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. It is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, formulated by the International Football Association Board (IFAB).

Football is one of the most popular sports globally, enjoyed by millions of players and spectators across various countries. It has a rich history and is associated with numerous prestigious tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup, which is held every four years and features national teams from around the world. The sport is known for its emphasis on teamwork, strategy, and skill, making it a significant part of many cultures and social environments.
