Energy

Energy is the ability or capacity to do work or produce change. It exists in various forms, including kinetic (the energy of motion), potential (stored energy based on position), thermal (heat energy), chemical (energy stored in chemical bonds), electrical (energy from the movement of electrons), and nuclear (energy released during nuclear reactions). Energy can be transformed from one form to another, such as converting chemical energy in food into kinetic energy for movement. It is a fundamental concept in physics and is conserved in isolated systems according to the law of conservation of energy, meaning that energy cannot be created or destroyed but only converted from one form to another. In practical terms, energy is crucial for powering systems and processes in everyday life, from natural phenomena to human-made technologies. In environmental contexts, the sources of energy can be renewable (such as solar, wind, and hydro) or non-renewable (such as fossil fuels and nuclear), impacting ecological balance and sustainability.
